For those of you wondering what CM Punk will be doing on the night of AEW Double Or Nothing, it looks like he will be working but it’s not anything related to wrestling.
As announced in a press release by Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC), Punk will be doing color commentary on Saturday, May 25th so this basically rules out an appearance at AEW’s pay-per-view.
The Punk rumors have picked up in recent weeks after he appeared at an independent show a couple of weeks ago and his name has been mentioned on episodes of Being The Elite. It’s also no secret that Punk is good friends with Matt Jackson.
The CFFC event is scheduled for 6 pm local time in Coachella, California while AEW Double Or Nothing is scheduled for 4 pm local time so it would make it tough for him to appear in Las Vegas. The speculation will probably increase in the coming months because AEW is scheduled to run the Sears Center in Chicago on Labor Day weekend. If Punk is going to appear for AEW then the Chicago event would make the most sense.
There are surprises planned for the show and the big rumor is that the former Dean Ambrose (now Jon Moxley) will be on the show. Click here for the latest on Moxley.
