Cody Rhodes defeated Wardlow inside of a steel cage match in the main event of an excellent episode of AEW Dynamite in Atlanta, GA.
They teased that Arn Anderson might turn on Cody but it was a swerve because he attacked MJF at ringside and took him out of the match. Cody was able to use the Diamond Dozen ring as a weapon but that was not enough to beat Wardlow so he hit a moonsault off the top of the cage and then he pinned him.
Rhodes was bloody after having his head rammed into the side of the cage during the match.
AEW heads to Kansas City next week for the Revolution go-home show. Here is the updated card for AEW Revolution:
