AEW announced on Wednesday that they will hold their first-ever stadium show. An upcoming Dynamite episode will be held in New York City at the USTA Arthur Ashe Stadium on September 22nd.
The episode will have a special theme as it’s called “Dynamite: Grand Slam.” Although the stadium can hold up to 23,000 fans, the belief is AEW will try to sell 16,500 tickets. Fans can buy their tickets to the show on July 16th.
AEW Executive Cody Rhodes responded to one fan who had doubt that the promotion can sell out the show. He wrote, “I’ve been told this before.”
It will be interesting to see how many tickets they sell as they run Newark, NJ the week before this show and that’s only about a 30-minute trip away from the city on a train.
Of course, many people doubted that Rhodes could sell out the first and only All In show back in 2018. That event sold over 10,000 tickets.
I’ve been told this before. https://t.co/RNupx0BWh6
