The alliance between Mexican promotion, AAA, and AEW (All Elite Wrestling) continues.
Before the AEW rally in Las Vegas, All Elite Wrestling announced that they had created an alliance with AAA. This partnership will see the two promotions would exchange talent at each other’s events.
Cody Rhodes has revealed that he would be appearing at AAA Rey de Reyes in Puebla, Mexico on March 16. In the video below, Rhodes was quoted by stating, “I think AAA’s emphasis on the modern star, providing the best lucha libre meshes incredibly well with our attempt to provide a sports-centric pro wrestling show.”
Rhodes underwent successful knee surgery back on February 12th. He’s expected to be back in action at the first event under the AEW banner, Double or Nothing. Rhodes sustained the injury back on November 9th at the ROH Global Wars: Buffalo events.
As of this writing, there’s no word yet on which AAA stars will be appearing at Double or Nothing
