MJF flipped off a 7-year-old kid over the weekend at a meet and greet at C2E2 in Chicago and the father is not happy about it.
As you can see below, MJF did not break character once and the kid got the exact guy who he sees every week on TV. This is the case for any appearance or interview by MJF and most fans realize that.
However, the dad reached out to Cody Rhodes and Matt Jackson to express his dissatisfaction with a heel being a heel. He said, “I tried to laugh it off knowing he’s just in character & @JANELABABY was great helping to calm my son down but it really upset him I know that’s his gimmick but he’s only 7 & doesn’t understand, his eyes would tear up & he didn’t too far flipping him off now there’s a video & people making memes to make fun & I don’t like that as a parent I hope you guys can understand & tell him to calm his antics down in front of kids.”
He continued, “I’m in the process of trying to take these videos down since they were taken without our knowledge & I hope better judgment is made in the future.”
In a now-deleted tweet, Cody offered to make it up to him and his son at a future event but cautioned that the MJF that fans see on TV is the same person you will see if you meet him in person.
Cody wrote, “Hey Tom! I’ll make it up to you. You near any of the cities we are visiting soon?
DISCLAIMER: if you have a meet/greet or inquire media wise for MJF, you’ll get MJF. Talent have freedom of expression, so please don’t think anybody is going to act any different than they do on tv.”
The video has gone viral and has been picked up by TMZ. They reached out to him for a statement and he said, ” F**k them kids.”
