Darby Allin Announces Plan To Build Skatepark In His Hometown

AEW star Darby Allin is beginning a new mission outside of the wrestling ring. In a vignette that aired on this past week’s episode of AEW Collision, Allin announced his plan to build a new skatepark in his adopted hometown of McDonough, Georgia.

Darby Allin’s New Mission

The segment detailed Allin’s new goal, which comes after his successful expedition to climb Mt. Everest earlier this year. He revealed that he has been working on this project to give back to the community he has called home since 2017.

At the end of the video, Allin directed fans to a link where they can donate to help fund the project. The fundraiser is being sponsored by “The Skatepark Project,” a charitable foundation started by legendary professional skateboarder Tony Hawk.

A Community Project For Darby Allin

According to the fundraiser’s website, the project was officially approved by Henry County leaders in February. The plan is to build three skateparks in the county, with Allin’s being located at Heritage Park. The new park will repurpose a 37,500-square-foot former covered arena.

Allin returned from hiatus at the All In: Texas pay-per-view to help “Hangman” Adam Page win the AEW World Championship and has since been seeking revenge on Jon Moxley and the Death Riders. Following his team’s victory in the main event of the Forbidden Door pay-per-view, Allin challenged Moxley to a singles match, but the challenge was denied.
