Deonna Purrazzo: MJF-Britt Baker Situation Was An Isolated Incident That Sparked A Lot Of Drama

Deonna Purrazzo is the first AEW star to publicly comment on the incident between MJF and Britt Baker last month, which resulted in Baker’s fine and suspension.

At the July 17th Dynamite, the incident involved MJF, Baker, and Alicia Atout, where Baker allegedly called Atout a ‘Stupid f***ing b***’ because Alicia Atout informed MJF that Baker was berating him, talking crap about MJF and Will Ospreay in the women’s locker room. The argument resulted in MJF punching a wall before his hour-long match.

AEW reportedly didn’t suspend MJF because HR saw it as MJF defending Atout and didn’t feel it should be punishable. While speaking to Stephanie Chase, the fellow AEW star was asked about the incident.

She said, “Very similar (describing the TNA locker room as like AEW in the way of being a family). I think this was just one instance that sparked a lot of drama and also kind of took on a life of its own. The rumor mill starts going, and things aren’t as they were. People add their two cents and it makes it way bigger than it was. I think this was an isolated incident because everything else that I’ve experienced in this locker room is supportive, encouraging, is a lot of camaraderie. We just recently celebrated people’s birthdays and had birthday cakes and sang. I feel this locker room doesn’t get as much credit as it deserves for that type of camaraderie. I don’t know what it was like before. I can only speak to my experiences, but I feel like it doesn’t get enough credit as it deserves.”
