Despite AEW WrestleDream 2024 Appearance, MJF To Continue Movie Project

MJF returned from hiatus following TNT Champion Jack Perry vs. Katsuyori Shibata, which took place at the AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view event at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA, on Saturday night.

MJF had been away while filming “Happy Gilmore 2” since his last match at All Out. He beat Garcia, only for Garcia to attack him after the bout.

After the match, MJF attacked Daniel Garcia, who was making the save for Shibata. MJF cut a promo that he has made movies and millions of dollars while away. MJF said Garcia had a bidding war and knocked it for not being strong. Adam Cole also returned to run him off.

Fightful Select reported that MJF told people backstage at the show that he had to return to filming “Happy Gilmore 2” after this show. It’s unclear when MJF will wrap up filming for the movie.
