Diamond Dallas Page To Tony Khan: “When Are You Bringing Back Britt Baker?”

WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page has publicly called for the return of former AEW Women’s World Champion, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. In a post on his social media, DDP asked AEW President Tony Khan when the popular star would be making her return to television.

In his post on X, Page made a direct appeal to the AEW President. “Yo Tony, when are you bringing back @RealBrittBaker?” he wrote. He also provided an update on her physical condition, suggesting she is ready for a comeback. “Rumor has it she’s been staying in peak physical condition and is ready to make her return. She’s ready and so are the fans.” He also plugged a past interview he did with Baker on his own YouTube channel.

Baker has been on an extended hiatus from AEW television, with her last on-screen appearance coming in November 2024. The long absence has fueled a great deal of speculation about her future with the company, with some rumors even suggesting she was actively trying to get out of her contract. However, a recent report from Fightful Select countered those rumors.

According to the Fightful report, sources familiar with the situation stated that the idea of her wanting out of AEW was “news to them.” AEW President Tony Khan himself has also addressed her absence, stating that it is due to the company’s “rotating talent policy” and that she will return “when the time is right.” Baker still has well over a year left on her AEW contract.

While she has been away from the ring, Baker has remained a topic of conversation. She recently had to “clap back” at a fan on social media who assumed she was retired after she posted a photo from a beach.  Many fans have pointed to the upcoming AEW Dynamite on September 24, which takes place in her hometown of Pittsburgh, as a logical date for her potential comeback. However, there have been no reports that would give any indication of that happening.
