Domestic violence case dropped against former WWE NXT star Jake Atlas

Former WWE NXT star Jake Atlas was arrested last month in Orlando, Florida, and charged with misdemeanor battery (domestic assault).

TMZ Sports reported today that the charge has been dropped against him. According to court documents, officials said they were declining to prosecute him as after an investigation, “it is the opinion of the writer that this case is not suitable for prosecution.”

The court records show there was supposed to be a hearing on Tuesday, but it has been canceled and the matter is considered closed.

As previously noted in the police report, officers responded to a domestic violence call on May 23rd as Atlas was drinking at Big Daddy’s Roadhouse the night before and when his partner went to pick him up, Atlas asked his partner to stay and drink with him.

The victim stated Atlas wanted him to go to a friend’s house to be intimate together, but Atlas was said to be more upset that his partner was showing “half more attention” to the friend than Atlas, which made Atlas upset and an argument started. It was alleged Atlas became more “physically aggressive” by charging at the victim.

The victim was left with a scratch on his forearm and his tank top was torn. Atlas left but ended up returning to the apartment to get his dog and refused to leave again.

That’s when the cops were called. Atlas chose to “speak badly” about the victim instead of telling his side of the story. At that point, it was then determined that Atlas was the aggressor and he was arrested.

Atlas signed with WWE in 2019 before being let go in 2021 with several other NXT stars. He signed a per-appearance deal with AEW in January but has been out of action with a torn ACL.
