If you are a fan of Adam Scherr (Braun Strowman) and hope to see him in AEW, don’t bet on that happening…at least not anytime soon.
The former WWE star responded to a tweet from a fan. In response to a GIF of a botched haircut meme, the fan’s tweet says, “If my kid does that I’ll punish him by watching 3 hours of Raw.”
Scherr responded, “Hahahah dynamite would be far worse punishment”
Scherr and AEW had talks last year but no deal was reached. At the time, the belief was that he would sign with Impact and he would debut as “The Titan” at Bound For Glory but that did not pan out either. Impact Wrestling’s Scott D’Amore went as far as to say that Scherr was “Braun For Glory.” Mark Henry said in regards to Scherr and AEW that there was interest from both sides.
In October, Scherr seemingly confirmed to Sports Illustrated’s John Maakaron that there were talks with AEW:
“Yeah, we’ve sat down and discussed stuff like that with my agent and things like that. We’re just trying to find a fit now where everything kind of will work together since now there’s so many things that I’m working on in my personal life. I don’t have as much time to devote to the full-time schedule to wrestle now.”
It’s unclear why things did not work out for Scherr with Impact or AEW but, based on his recent tweet, it doesn’t look like there are any plans for Scherr to work in AEW. Scherr currently runs the Control Your Narrative promotion with EC3.
