Dustin Rhodes Signs New Six-Year Deal with All Elite Wrestling

AEW star and wrestling legend Dustin Rhodes has signed a new, six-year contract with the company, according to a recent feature story in the Dallas Morning News. The new deal will see the 56-year-old veteran take on multiple roles for the promotion.

A New Multi-Faceted Role

According to the report, Rhodes’ new long-term contract will have him serving in a capacity where he “consults, coaches, occasionally wrestles and acts as an ambassador for the promotion.” The deal solidifies his future with All Elite Wrestling for the foreseeable future and positions him as a key veteran presence both on-screen and behind the scenes.

A Career Renaissance

The new deal is a testament to the remarkable late-career renaissance for Rhodes. If the veteran performer fulfills the entirety of his new six-year contract, he will have spent an incredible six decades in the professional wrestling business. The Dallas Morning News article notes that he has found late-career happiness in his new role.

His sister, Kristin Ditto, commented on his current standing in the wrestling world. “He’s made his own path,” she said. “That’s exactly what he’s done and he’s done it brilliantly… He’s done so much in his career. Dustin has seen it all, been through it all and doesn’t need it all anymore. But he’s got the passion for the business. Now it’s his chance to mentor.”

Fans can see Dustin Rhodes and the rest of the AEW roster this Saturday, July 12, at the All In: Texas pay-per-view event. In the United States and Canada, the event can be streamed live on Prime Video, PPV.com, and YouTube. It is also available through traditional cable and satellite pay-per-view providers. For international fans, the event will be available on TrillerTV. Tickets for the event, taking place at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, are available at AEWTIX.com.
