Eddie Kingston has commented on being suspended by AEW.
As previously reported, there was an altercation in Minneapolis several weeks ago following a Sammy Guevara promo on AEW programming. Things got physical once Guevara returned backstage as Kingston confronted Guevara.
Kingston had an issue with something he said during the promo about Kingston’s appearance.
They had to be separated, and Kingston was suspended for several weeks. He hasn’t been backstage at AEW events since, but the expectation is that he will return next week.
While speaking with PWinsider.com, Kingston commented on the suspension by stating the following:
“You know the truth. I wouldn’t lie. I was wrong for being unprofessional. That is the blind fact. He did what he did, and the public can judge that but I know for a fact I was wrong.”
Although he wasn’t backstage at Dynamite last week, Guevara worked Wednesday’s Rampage episode by teaming with his wife Tay Melo against Ortiz and Ruby Soho. You can check out the spoilers here.
