Eddie Kingston Reveals What Is Delaying His AEW Return

AEW star Eddie Kingston has provided an update on his recovery and a potential timeline for his return to the company. “The Mad King” has been out of action since May 11 of last year, when he suffered a broken leg during a match against Gabe Kidd at a NJPW event.

In a recent training video alongside Cezar Bononi, Kingston addressed his status. While he has been seen training in the ring and running, he revealed that his return to performing for AEW is currently being held up by non-physical matters that need to be resolved.

“Good. It feels fine… They’re trying to rush me back in the ring — training — which is fine. I’ve been running and stuff like that in the ring. It’s fine,” Kingston said. “It’s just that it’s business stuff, that I need to get done before I even think about doing anything in the ring for the company, you know what I mean? It’s a lot of business stuff.”
