The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson) defeated The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita, Hechicero, and Kazuchika Okada) on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite to secure a $1,000,000 prize. The match concluded following significant dissension between teammates Okada and Takeshita.
Match Recap
The contest began with a face-off between Kenny Omega and Konosuke Takeshita. The Elite utilized quick tags early in the bout, eventually sending both Matt and Nick Jackson to the apron. The trio executed a triple-team enzuigiri followed by a springboard double stomp by Nick Jackson and Omega.
Following a commercial break, The Don Callis Family isolated Omega. During this period, friction emerged within the team when Takeshita shoved Okada aside to perform a double-team move with Hechicero. Omega responded with his “You Can’t Escape” combination before tagging in Nick Jackson, who executed a cazadora cutter on Takeshita and a “Risky Business” for a two-count.
The match eventually broke down with all six competitors entering the ring. Omega and Okada exchanged forearms, leading to a sequence of high-impact moves. Late in the contest, Okada interrupted a TK Driver attempt by The Young Bucks. Takeshita followed up with a Blue Thunder Bomb and a Power Drive Knee on Nick Jackson, resulting in a near fall.
The Finish
The match reached its conclusion after Takeshita signaled for another knee strike. Okada stepped in to attempt a Rainmaker, leading to an argument between the two teammates. Takeshita threw Okada out of the ring, allowing The Elite to capitalize on the distraction.
The Elite performed a triple superkick on the remaining opponents. Omega hit a V-Trigger, followed by a combination One Winged Angel and Indy Taker on Hechicero to secure the pinfall victory.
Post-Match Altercation
Following the bell, Takeshita and Okada attacked The Young Bucks and Omega, delivering their finishing maneuvers to Matt and Nick Jackson. The physical altercation then turned inward, as Takeshita and Okada began shoving one another. Don Callis entered the ring to separate them, and the group retreated up the ramp.
