The rumored All Elite Wrestling promotion is expected to get underway sometime in 2019. The promotion reportedly involves the likes of The Young Bucks and current IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes. While it’s highly unlikely anyone ever comes close to competing with the likes of WWE, the fact that the promotion has the financial backing of billionaire Shahid Khan and involves three of professional wrestling’s biggest stars is a promising start. One man who knows a thing or two about competing with WWE is former WCW President Eric Bischoff.
Bischoff once led WCW in the Monday Night Wars against WWE, with Nitro defeating Monday Night Raw for quite some time in the rating battles. He was recently interviewed on the “After 83 Weeks” podcast with Christy Olson and was asked about AEW. The former Monday Night Raw General Manager actually had a bit of advice for Rhodes and The Young Bucks. The core of Bischoff’s advise was for the trio to essentially take things slow, and not to let anything go to their heads:
“They’re in a zone right now. It doesn’t come easily, it doesn’t come often but they’re there. Be smart, go slow, don’t let it go to your head, trust me. Go slow and always surround yourself with people you absolutely trust,” said Bischoff.
