On December 26, 2025, the wrestling world marked the solemn five-year anniversary of the passing of Jon Huber, known to fans as Brodie Lee and Luke Harper. Huber passed away on this day in 2020 at the age of 41 after a battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. His wife, Amanda Huber, and his longtime tag team partner, Erick Rowan, both took to social media to share emotional tributes honoring his memory.
A Heavy Milestone
Amanda Huber, who currently works in production and community outreach for AEW, posted a moving message reflecting on the passage of time. She noted that hitting the five-year mark felt particularly significant and difficult compared to previous anniversaries.
“Five years. This year seems heavier. Five seems like the next milestone,” Amanda wrote. “At first it was making it thru the first hour you were gone. Then the first day. First week. First month. Six months. First year. Five seems like the next milestone. I still remember it like it was…”
A Lasting Impression
Erick Rowan, who spent years traveling and wrestling alongside Huber as part of The Wyatt Family and The Bludgeon Brothers in WWE, also shared his thoughts. He reflected on the nature of grief and the overwhelmingly positive impact Huber had on those around him.
“Grief is a funny thing. It’s something that never goes away. Some days are good, filled with emotional memories, some not so good, filled with frustration,” Rowan wrote. “People can leave a lasting impression on others either for the bad or the good. JON was the latter. Can’t think of one…”
Wrestling World Remembers
Rowan is currently signed to WWE, where he performs as a member of the Wyatt Sicks faction. The group has been involved in a heated rivalry on SmackDown, most recently brawling with The Bloodline during a tag team championship match. Amanda Huber continues her work with AEW, where she has been part of the company’s community outreach programs.
