Former AEW Champion Is Nearing In-Ring Return

Thunder Rosa is speaking out about her recovery and what fans can expect when she makes her AEW return. The former AEW Women’s World Champion has been absent from television since her appearance at AEW All In: Texas back in July, where she competed in the Casino Gauntlet match. Following that bout, Rosa quietly disappeared from programming, leading to fan speculation about her status.

Rehab Going ‘Really Well’

During a recent interview with Midnight Movie Crash, Thunder Rosa opened up about her time away, calling her wrestling career “a journey” that’s helped her embrace her roots. While the exact nature of her injury was not disclosed, Rosa confirmed that her rehab is going extremely well and hinted that her in-ring return is right around the corner.

“Right now, I’m just focusing on continuing my rehab from the injuries I had a couple of months ago. And I have really good news, everything is going really well. So, I’m expecting to return to the ring fairly soon.”

Rosa’s return would add significant depth to the AEW women’s division. The division is currently focused on the recently announced AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament and the upcoming title match at Full Gear between AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander and TBS Champion Mercedes Mone.
