Former AEW Star Resumes In-Ring Training, Teases A Comeback

Former two-time TNA Knockouts Champion Allie, also known to AEW fans as The Bunny, has announced that she has resumed in-ring training for the first time in nearly two years. In a heartfelt video posted to her social media, she opened up about her long absence from the ring.

In the video, Allie said, “I haven’t had an actual wrestling match in, s–t, I think it might be two years. Many things have changed in my life and something in me just felt like I want to get back in the ring and see how it feels,” she said. “Not only did I not have a match but I hadn’t trained, I hadn’t bumped, I hadn’t been in wrestling at all for quite a long time. Maybe the last couple months, I started feeling like I really missed it in a way that I honestly didn’t expect.”

Allie’s last official match took place on the September 6, 2023, taping of AEW Rampage, where she teamed with Anna Jay and Taya Valkyrie in a losing effort against Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida, and Skye Blue. She was removed from the AEW roster page in November 2023, and it was reported at the time that she and the company had come to a mutual agreement on her departure.

She explained that she did not want to rush her return and wanted to wait until she was truly ready to get back in the ring. “It hurt so bad,” she said of getting back in the ring. “That first bump, you guys. I started hitting the ropes, it was really painful. But honestly, it felt so good.”
