AEW star and former World Champion Chris Jericho has revealed a noticeably slimmer and more defined physique in a new photo posted to his social media accounts this week. The picture has drawn significant praise from fans and followers, many of whom have noted it may be the slimmest he has looked in many years.
In the post, Jericho wrote, “Have a great week, everybody! Make some cool shit happen and see you all at @wasummercon this weekend!” His message confirms his upcoming appearance at the Washington Summer Con. The photo, however, has become the main topic of conversation, showcasing the results of his time away from television.
Jericho has been absent from AEW programming for nearly two months.
His last appearance was on the April 24, 2025, episode of AEW Dynamite, where he was involved in an angle that saw him brutally attacked and put through a table by The Elite (The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada, and Jack Perry). This on-screen assault was the storyline reason for his extended absence.
It was later reported by Fightful Select that Jericho’s time off was pre-planned to allow him to heal from several legitimate, nagging injuries he had been working through. This planned hiatus also coincided with his band Fozzy’s “Spotlight on North America” tour, which has been ongoing throughout his time away from the ring.
With his Fozzy tour wrapping up and his physique looking ring-ready, speculation about Jericho’s return to AEW is growing. His contract with the promotion is reportedly set to expire at the end of 2025. His impending free agency, combined with his new look, will make his next move one of the most anticipated stories in wrestling heading into the latter half of the year.
