AEW has loaded up the card for next Saturday’s episode of Collision as they’ve announced several matches, including a former WWE star being in action.
Among the matches include Bryan Danielson vs. Ricky Starks in a Texas Death Match, AEW Tag Team Champions FTR defending against The WorkHorsemen (Anthony Henry & JD Drake), and Andrade El Idolo vs. Jay White.
Former WWE Champion Rob Van Dam will also be in action.
Last month, the WWE Hall of Famer made his promotional debut when he confronted FTW Champion “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry as fellow former ECW World Heavyweight Champion Jerry Lynn introduced him. RVD walked out with his old ECW theme song “Walk” by Patera, leading to their match being booked on Dynamite in mid-August.
Perry retained the title after hitting a low blow and sending him head-first into a chair before rolling him up. It was reported at the time that this was a one-off match for RVD, but the promotion is bringing back the homestate star for next week’s Collision in Michigan.
AEW has yet to announce RVD’s opponent. He also sent out this tweet on Sunday morning:
To everyone asking about my status yesterday, I wasn’t holding back. This is just how fast things happen sometimes. See you in Michigan! 🤘 https://t.co/VgYixxJF1L
