Fightful reports that All Elite Wrestling is expected to sign Shane Strickland, known to many fans as former WWE star Isaiah "Swerve" Scott.

News about Strickland heading to AEW was also reported by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Meltzer noted last week that while nothing was confirmed, there was a very good chance that he would be coming into AEW.

Fightful added that many in AEW have been operating as if Strickland was coming in and the deal would take effect in the first week of March. People in AEW reportedly inquired about him very early after he was let go by WWE.

There is also talk within AEW that Strickland can become a crossover star and there has been talk about talent doing work on WarnerMedia shows. Since his release from WWE, Strickland has been booked for dates in GCW and numerous high-level independent companies, including NJPW but he is not under contract with them. There was also said to be interest from ROH for their reboot but that is obviously not happening now.
