This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was a notable show for various reasons, as it marked the first simulcast of Dynamite on MAX. It was also the fallout edition from last Saturday’s Worlds End pay-per-view event.
The top things that took place included FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) & Adam Copeland beating The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta & Claudio Castagnoli), Julia Hart going over Jamie Hayter in her first match since April, and Jeff Jarrett making an announcement that he had re-signed with AEW with his intentions of going after the World Title. There was also a first-time meeting between Orange Cassidy and Hangman Page for the show.
PWInsider.com reports that WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix and former WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin were backstage at Wednesday’s Dynamite. They were just visiting as Phoenix’s husband, Adam Copeland, worked the show, and the couple lives in the area.
For Irvin, her husband, Ricochet, was used on the show, where he turned heel in a brutal attack on Swerve Strickland. Irvin has previously stated that she doesn’t plan to return to ring announcing for pro wrestling.
