Former WWE Superstar Andrade, who is now going by the name, Andrade El Idolo, made his All Elite Wrestling debut on Friday’s episode of Dynamite after being introduced by Vickie Guerrero as her new client.
It happened in the first hour of the show during a Mark Henry promo segment. This is where Andrade stated he would be the new face of AEW.
Andrade took to Instagram this morning to comment on his debut by writing the following:
“The NEW ANDRADE EL IDOLO. New goals. New opportunities to achieve. More Success. Thank you so much for great introduction @guerrero_vickie thanks for the wonderful welcome @allelitewrestling @aewontnt Nuevas metas. Nuevos rivales. Recuerden lo valioso que son y lo muchos que luchan por cada una de sus metas. Ve y busca el éxito, el éxito no está en el locker room!”
Andrade had his release granted by WWE a few months ago. He wasn’t under a 90-day non-compete clause which is why he’s been able to appear for other promotions in Mexico.
He will face AEW World Champion Kenny Omega for the AAA Mega Championship at TripleMania XXIX on Saturday, August 14.
