Former WWE Star Expected To Make AEW Debut Soon

A new addition to All Elite Wrestling talent is on the way. Another ex-WWE star is expected to join the promotion, marking Tony Khan’s latest signing.

Ricochet has been in the headlines over the last few weeks as his deal expired with the company at midnight on July 1, and he’s a free agent. He bid farewell to WWE TV last month before parting ways with the company, a move he decided to make.

Ricochet had a successful career in WWE and held various titles, including the Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion, and NXT North American Champion. He won the 2019 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and was the inaugural WWE Speed Champion.

As previously reported, Ricochet was never expected at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door less than a week ago as he was not contractually able to appear at the show. However, Ricochet’s agent was backstage at AEW Dynamite this week.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Ricochet is expected to make his AEW debut shortly.
