Former WWE Star Is Reportedly AEW-Bound

Less than a week after MVP made his AEW debut, it appears another former WWE star is slated to join the promotion.

Last week on Dynamite, MVP came out to do a promo segment with Prince Nana to send a message to Swerve Strickland. Bobby Lashley is expected to join the promotion shortly after previous reports of MVP and Lashley were planning to reunite in the promotion under the rumored Hurt Syndicate name.

When original reports of MVP and Lashley’s planned WWE departure came out, it was indicated that Shelton Benjamin would be coming with them to AEW. That is the case.

Ibou of WrestlePurists reports that the former WWE Intercontinental Champion is expected to sign with the company. This is after Benjamin was initially believed to be close to working with the promotion earlier this year.

The two sides talked in March, but nothing materialized at the time. It’s unclear exactly when he will be showing up.
