Former WWE star Johnny Gargano sends a message to fans who attended tonight’s AEW Dynamite

Johnny Gargano took to Twitter to thank the fans who watched tonight’s AEW Dynamite.

During tonight’s broadcast, the fans in Cleveland chanted “Johnny Wrestling” several times throughout the show, apparently because some of them felt that he would be appearing on the show since it’s his hometown.

Gargano was not on the show tonight but he took time to thank everyone for their support. Gargano said the following on Twitter:

“I heard you and you have no idea how much it means to me that you’re excited to see me back at it.

It’s scary to step away because your insecurities say ‘they’ll forget about you’. but you haven’t forgotten and I promise that I will make it up to you asap. #JohnnyWrestling”

Gargano became a free agent last month and he has said that he wanted time away before he gets back in the ring. It has been reported that Gargano has been leaning towards not returning to WWE so a jump to AEW is not out of the question.

His wife Candice LeRae is due to give birth sometime in February so we might not see Gargano at least for a few weeks, if not a few months.
