Former WWE Star “Would Love to Go” to AEW, Believes There’s No Interest From Them

Nixon Newell (formerly Tegan Nox) has stated she would love to work for All Elite Wrestling and sees many potential dream matches there, but she does not believe the company currently has any interest in signing her. She shared her thoughts on her post-WWE future during a recent interview on the “Wrestling in the Middle” podcast.

When asked by the host about potentially “switching sides” and going to AEW, Newell was direct about her desire to join the promotion. “I would love to go there. There’s so many people there that I want to wrestle like I really want to tangle with Toni [Storm] again. I wrestled Toni, yes, many years on the Indies. So I’d like to, you know, revisit that,” she said. “There’s just a lot of women there that I would love to wrestle.”

Her enthusiasm was, however, tempered by her perception of AEW’s interest in her. “So I am more than willing, AEW, to talk about some stuff,” she stated, before adding, “As far as I know, I don’t think there’s an interest from them, which is a shame. But I would love to go there.”

Newell made it clear she is keeping all her options open as a free agent. Beyond AEW, she named Ring of Honor and TNA as promotions on her “bucket list.” “I want to wrestle everywhere and anywhere at this point, like there’s so many people that I want to wrestle in multiple different companies… I gotta show people that I can do what I do best, and I just need the opportunity to be able to show people,” she affirmed.

Her goal is to prove her abilities on a major stage again. This statement of intent, combined with her expressed desire to join AEW, puts the ball firmly in the court of major promotions looking to add a talented and experienced veteran to their women’s divisions. Newell also revealed she is “more than likely relocating to Texas soon,” which would place her in a central hub for many U.S. wrestling promotions.
