Former WWE Stars Were Backstage At AEW Worlds End

AEW presented its final pay-per-view event of the year with Worlds End on Saturday night. AEW booked AEW World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley vs. Orange Cassidy vs. Jay White vs. Hangman Page in the main event. Adam Copeland and Kenny Omega made their returns during the show.

There were also two interesting names backstage at the event. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Baron Corbin, aka Tom Pestock, and AJ Francis were backstage at the show.

Because Corbin is under a non-compete for another month after being released by WWE. He can’t sign anywhere for at least another month. For Francis, aka Top Dolla, his deal is up on January 1st with TNA, a promotion he signed with after being released by WWE.

It was said that Francis had been seen talking to Tony Khan at the ringside before the show. He also reunited with former Hit Row teammate Swerve Strickland. It’s unclear whether the promotion is interested in signing them.
