Gabe Kidd cut an expletive-filled promo at the AEW Revolution post-show media scrum on Sunday night, challenging Darby Allin to an unsanctioned coffin match on Wednesday’s Dynamite. AEW President Tony Khan agreed to make the match official.
Kidd, who competed in a trios match at Revolution alongside Clark Connors and David Finlay as The Dogs against Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy, and Roderick Strong, directed his anger squarely at Allin during the scrum.
“This needs to end. You know this needs to end. I know it needs to end. It only ends one way. Wednesday. It has to end Wednesday,” Kidd said. “Unsanctioned. I don’t want no OC. I don’t want Clark or Finlay. Unsanctioned. Gabe Kidd. Darby Allin. Coffin match. Because I said it’s not gonna end until he is pushing up daisies.”
Kidd also took aim at New Japan Pro-Wrestling during the tirade. “I don’t care about New Japan Pro Wrestling. F**k New Japan Pro Wrestling. F**k that old cripple, Hiroshi Tanahashi. F**k all the young boys. F**k every single one of them,” Kidd said. Tanahashi is the current president of NJPW.
When asked about his appearance in AEW by a reporter, Kidd was dismissive. “You came to AEW, f**k you. It doesn’t concern you. Suck your mum. I don’t care about any of that,” he said.
Kidd closed the promo by addressing the live crowd and media in attendance. “I’m the best in this game. F**k all you fat nerds,” he said.
Khan confirmed the unsanctioned coffin match between Kidd and Allin for this Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
The Dogs debuted in AEW recently as an extension of the NJPW relationship. The faction has a 2-2 record in AEW, including a win over Allin and Cassidy on the March 11 episode of Dynamite. Kidd and Allin have been on a collision course since The Dogs arrived, with their feud escalating at each interaction.
AEW Dynamite airs Wednesday on TBS.
