Hangman Adam Page vs. Kenny Omega confirmed for AEW Full Gear

Hangman Adam Page made his return to AEW TV when he was revealed as the “joker” in the Casino Ladder Match last week on Dynamite. The match also featured PAC, Andrade El Idolo, Jon Moxley, Lance Archer, Orange Cassidy, and Matt Hardy.

With Page winning the bout, he has earned a title match against AEW World Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega. AEW didn’t announce when the match would take place, but the speculation among fans has been for it to go down at the Full Gear pay-per-view event in November.

AEW President Tony Khan confirmed in an interview with Robbie Barstool on My Mom’s Basement that the match will indeed take place at Full Gear.

Khan mentioned the news after talking about how Omega beat Page in last year’s Eliminator Tournament finals at Full Gear and now the rematch will take place one year later.

Khan stated, “I’m sure you were a fan of the AEW Eliminator Tournament. Last year it culminated in Kenny vs. Hangman, which is very fitting because now as we go into Full Gear this year we’re back, and now Kenny is the world champion and he’s facing Hangman. As we saw last year, Kenny won the Eliminator Tournament and ended up winning the title from Jon Moxley.”

Originally, AEW was planning this match for the All Out PPV event, but Page took time off for the birth of his child and Omega defended the AEW World Title against Christian Cage instead. You can watch the entire interview by clicking on the player below (quotes can be found at the 20:30 mark):
