There are not a lot of details coming out on what happened to cause Chris Jericho to be hospitalized yesterday in Wales ahead of a Fozzy concert.
However, Dave Meltzer was able to get a quote from Jericho on his situation. Jericho reportedly said, “I’m feeling good. They just wanted to observe me overnight and I’m in the right place. Not COVID related.”
Jericho added, “Tour has been amazing. 100 percent sold out and crowds have been absolutely nuts.”
The promoter for the show in Wales issued this statement on Instagram yesterday: “Chris was checked into Hospital by doctors, with a non-Covid related, treatable health issue. Regrettably the show on Friday in Swansea is cancelled and all tickets will be refunded. Will have updates on Saturday’s show in Nottingham and Sunday’s show in London as soon as possible.”
Whatever the issue is, we wish him well and hope for a speedy recovery. There is no word yet on the status of the rest of the Fozzy tour. Fozzy has two more dates upcoming. They are scheduled to be in Nottingham, England on 12/11 and London, England on 12/12.
