Hologram Written Off AEW TV, “Likely Out The Rest Of 2025”

AEW star Hologram has been written off television for the foreseeable future following a backstage attack that aired on tonight’s episode of AEW Collision. In a tweet following the segment, AEW President Tony Khan announced that Hologram sustained significant injuries from the assault by TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher and would be out of action for an extended period.

“After an unprovoked attack backstage at #AEWCollision tonight by TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher, Hologram has significant injuries,” Khan tweeted. “We’re all cheering for Hologram + wishing him the best in his recovery. Sadly, Hologram likely is out the rest of 2025”. The attack on Collision was preceded by a video featuring Hologram’s nemesis, Clon.

The storyline injury directly impacts an upcoming championship match. Hologram was originally scheduled to challenge Kyle Fletcher for the TNT Championship on this coming Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Following the attack, it was announced that Orange Cassidy will now take Hologram’s place in the title match against Fletcher.

It is currently unclear if Hologram is dealing with a legitimate injury or if the attack is purely a storyline reason to remove him from television. He competed as recently as this past Wednesday on Dynamite in a trios match. Since the character’s introduction in July 2024, Hologram has been undefeated in both singles and tag team competition in AEW.

This is the second time Hologram has been written off television for an extended period. He was previously absent from October 2024 through February 2025 after suffering a legitimate ankle injury at the WrestleDream pay-per-view. That absence also coincided with the birth of his child.

The 26-year-old masked luchador, who wrestled internationally as Aramís before signing with AEW, has had a successful run since his return to action earlier this year. He is a member of The Conglomeration stable and has also competed for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) in 2025, earning a 5-star match rating from Dave Meltzer for a tag team match in June.
