Inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions Crowned On AEW Dynamite

Babes of Wrath Crowned First AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions

History was made at AEW Dynamite: Winter Is Coming as The Babes of Wrath, the team of Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron, defeated Timeless Love Bombs (Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa) to become the inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions.

The action started quickly, with Willow Nightingale establishing dominance early by hitting a cannonball on both Storm and Shirakawa outside the ring. The match remained competitive throughout, with Toni Storm delivering a DDT to Cameron and later connecting with her signature Storm Zero. However, Nightingale was there to break up the pin attempt.

The Finish

The contest featured a series of submission exchanges, with Shirakawa locking Cameron in a figure-four leglock while Nightingale applied an Indian Deathlock on Storm. After escaping, the teams traded chops and headbutts in the center of the ring.

The turning point came when Cameron executed a neckbreaker on Shirakawa and tagged in Nightingale. Willow nailed Shirakawa with a Doctor Bomb to secure the pinfall victory.

Emotional Celebration

Following the match, the new champions shared an emotional moment in the ring. Nightingale expressed her pride in Cameron, noting that her partner had “been there for her all year.” Cameron echoed the sentiment, stating she was proud to be a champion. In a show of sportsmanship, Storm and Shirakawa shook hands with the victors and embraced them.
