Injured AEW Star Expected to Return Around the Premiere of Collision

AEW listed names such as Miro, Samoa Joe, Thunder Rosa, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Andrade El Idolo on the promotional material for AEW Collision, which premieres on June 17 as a new weekly Saturday night two-hour program on TNT when they announced the launch of the new show this past Wednesday.

It’s believed Collision will be built around CM Punk should the two sides get back on the same page.

After the news was made, El Idolo sent out a tweet noting that he had no idea he was returning for the Collision show as he has been away from the promotion for several months.

Andrade has been out of action since September due to torn pec before he was sent home by AEW in October after he was involved in a backstage fight with Sammy Guevara.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer pointed out that since Andrade got the surgery for the torn pec in late November, based on the typical recovery time, “he could be ready by the launch of the show and if not, would be ready within a month or so after the launch.”
