Injured AEW Star Is Getting Closer To In-Ring Return

Fans can look forward to seeing one AEW star who has been on the sidelines make a return to the ring.

Powerhouse Hobbs, who signed with AEW in 2020 when he lost his debut match to Orange Cassidy on an episode of AEW Dark, is getting closer to returning from injury. Hobbs, a former TNT Champion, has been away since a February episode of AEW Dynamite when he worked with IWGP World Champion Jon Moxley. This is where Hobbs sustained a legitimate knee injury.

As a result, he had surgery in April and was expected to miss considerable time from in-ring action. Hobbs was recently Dynamite in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, visiting with friends.

Fightful previously reported that Hobbs was also at AEW All Out weekend and is back on the road with AEW.” The media outlet now reports Hobbs was cleared in the last few weeks to return to the ring.

He’s undergone extensive in-ring testing before being cleared and is now just waiting on creative.
