AEW is expected to get a star back from an injury after being sidelined.
“Switchblade” Jay White has been out of action for over a month. He had suffered a foot injury that resulted in AEW’s plans being changed. The injury to the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion also meant the Bang Bang Gang was forced to vacate the trio’s Championships.
White was last seen working a match when he put over Hangman Page in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament on the July 6th episode of Collision. As previously reported by Fightful,
White was getting checked on at a TV event in August for a potential return to TV. There was a point in time when AEW considered him for the All In event, where he would work the Casino Gauntlet match. That didn’t happen, though.
WrestlePurists WorldWide reported that White is set to return to AEW imminently. As of this writing, no other details were given.
