Injured AEW Star Is Returning To The Ring

AEW is about to get back a star who had been on the shelf due to injury on this coming Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite.

The show’s announcements include ROH World Champ Mark Briscoe vs. Chris Jericho in a ladder war, The Elite (Jack Perry & The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson)) vs. Daniel Garcia & Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen), and House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, & Buddy Matthews) in action.

Also on tap is Kyle Fletcher to speak, and HOOK “will handle” the person who attacked Taz. AEW has confirmed that Sammy Guevara will be returning.

On Collision, it was announced that Guevara would return to in-ring action to take on Shelton Benjamin in a singles match. More things for Dynamite will be announced in the coming days.

Guevara appeared to be knocked out during his match with Serpentico for ROH earlier this month. Serpentico went for a cutter to counter a top-rope move but missed the spot and landed on Guevara’s head. They stopped the bout, and Serpentico was awarded the victory.

Guevara was stretchered to the back. Following the bout, Dave Meltzer reported that it was believed that Guevara sustained a concussion. Guevara, who was recently cleared, has not publicly confirmed whether that’s the injury he suffered.
