Injured AEW Star Medically Cleared For In-Ring Return

That star is Sammy Guevara, who had a scary moment during the ROH TV tapings when Guevara appeared to be knocked out during his match with Serpentico.

Serpentico went for a cutter to counter a top-rope move but missed the spot and landed on Guevara’s head. They stopped the bout, and Serpentico was awarded the victory.

As a result, Guevara was stretchered to the back. Following the bout, Dave Meltzer reported that it was believed that Guevara sustained a concussion.

Wade Keller of PWTorch reported Guevara was seen walking around on his own after being checked out, and it wouldn’t have been obvious that he had been stretchered earlier. He has missed a few weeks of action since then.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Guevara has been cleared for in-ring action. As of this writing, it’s unclear when he will make his return.
