Injured AEW Star Was Backstage At Dynamite

AEW is looking to close out the year strong. They’re close to announcing a new television deal with Warner Bros. Discovery and potentially FOX.

One star they hope to have back in time for those deals starting is Adam Cole, who has been out of action since suffering a broken ankle at the AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam special in 2023. The injury happened while running to the ring during the World Title match between MJF and Samoa Joe. He jumped off the entrance ramp to the floor at the ringside and began limping.

This caused AEW to drastically change its plans, including Cole and MJF defending the ROH Tag Team Titles at AEW WrestleDream. Cole was revealed as The Devil at Worlds End, laying out MJF after losing the World Heavyweight Title. MJF got his revenge at Double Or Nothing when he laid out his former tag team partner.

The last word on Cole’s status came from Dave Meltzer, who reported Cole was backstage at All Out and was said to be walking around fine. Nobody was reportedly giving a return date for Cole.

PWInsider.com reports Cole was backstage at Wednesday’s Dynamite. We wish him a speedy recovery.
