Injured Top Star Spotted Backstage At AEW Dynamite Taping

Will Ospreay was reportedly present backstage at AEW’s Holiday Bash television taping in Manchester, England, on Wednesday. According to Fightful, the “Aerial Assassin” was at the venue for the Dynamite and Collision double header as he continues to recover from neck surgery he underwent earlier this fall.

Ospreay has been out of action since Forbidden Door, where he was written off television following a brutal steel cage attack by the Death Riders that ended with him being stretchered out.

AEW President Tony Khan recently commented on Ospreay’s status, sharing his hope for a return in the first half of 2026.

“Will Ospreay’s gonna be back with AEW, I think, hopefully earlier next year,” Khan said. “I can’t say exactly when but it’ll be next year, and I hope it’ll be in the first half of next year.”

Ospreay’s fiancé, Alex Windsor, also provided a positive update in a recent interview with Metro, stating that he is progressing well in his rehabilitation.

“Of course, it has been a struggle for him, but he’s doing so well,” Windsor said. “It’s no surprise, you know, but he’s absolutely smashing it. I personally [think] he’ll be back better than ever. I have no doubt about it in my mind.”
