As noted earlier, Northeast Wrestling announced that Eddie Kingston had to pull out of The Big Event convention in New York due to an injury. It was noted that he suffered a shoulder injury during his match with CM Punk. Kingston already had his shoulder taped up before the match so the match may have aggravated a nagging injury.

The morning statement from Northeast Wrestling stated:

"Due to a shoulder injury suffered in his match last night with CM Punk, @MadKing1981 will not be appearing today for @newwrestling1 at @bigeventny wrestling convention in Queens, NY. He will be undergoing some medical tests this am. Refunds for preorders will go out later 2day."
