Jake Hager signs contract extension with AEW

AEW has locked down Jake Hager to a new contract.

While speaking with Inside the Ropes for a new interview, Chris Jericho was asked about Angelo Parker and Matt Menard signing extensions with the promotion last month. He revealed that Hager has signed a contract extension with AEW as well.

“Jake Hager too. They all got contract extensions,” Jericho said. “I’ve told the story many times about how the Jericho Appreciation Society came to be. It was never planned. It was just something that happened in accordance to the circumstances that we were facing. I think the moment the five of us got together, it was a different vibe than the Inner Circle, but I knew those guys were really good.”

“I do feel proud that they got contract extensions, raises, everything in-between,” Jericho continued. “They earned it. They earned it by showing what they can do.”

Hager has been aligned with Jericho since arriving in AEW. He started out as part of the Inner circle (Santana and Ortiz, and Sammy Guevara) and is currently in the Jericho Appreciation Society.

Jericho is set to wrestle Bryan Danielson in the Tournament of Champions on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. You can watch the entire clip by clicking on the player below:
