Jake Roberts Gives High Praise To ‘Hangman’ Adam Page
On the latest episode of his Snake Pit podcast, Jake Roberts was asked for his assessment of the new champion. He made it clear that he believes Page has all the tools required to be a main event player.
“He’s got it. Yeah, he does, man [checking every box to make for a top star],” Roberts said. “He fills in all the right spaces. And got plenty of fire. Halfway decent on the mic. Yeah, he does it.”
A New Reign Begins
“Hangman” Page captured the AEW World Championship at the All In: Texas pay-per-view on July 12. He defeated Jon Moxley in a brutal and chaotic Texas Death Match in the main event to win the title for the second time in his career.
With his victory at All In, Page now stands at the top of an AEW main event scene that is in a state of transition. With former champions like Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay currently on hiatus, and Adam Cole out indefinitely with an injury, Page’s reign as the top babyface champion will be crucial for the company in the coming months.
