Jake Roberts says he is not in bad health, plans to be around a long time

Although Jake Roberts battles with COPD every day, he recently reassured fans that he’s not in bad health.

During a recent edition of Grilling JR, AEW announcer Jim Ross noted that Roberts is not in great health, but taking the means to address it.

“I just saw him here a few weeks ago and he’s still battling his breathing issues. He’s not in great health. That’s why you don’t see him as often on AEW television as he once was when he was fronting Lance Archer,” Ross said. “But his health is not good and he’s taking the means to address it. He still has surgeries left. But he has breathing issues.”

The WWE Hall Of Famer took to Twitter to note that he plans to be around for a long time.

“Hey guys once again someone wants to make a splash on the internet and what better way is there than putting out Jake Roberts is in bad health. Totally untrue. I’m going to be around a long time.”

This past February, Roberts stated on his “DDP Snake Pit” podcast that he no longer has to use an oxygen tank at all times as he had been. Instead, he uses it when he’s traveling on airplanes due to when they pressurize and go up high in the sky.

Roberts still works as Lance Archer’s manager in AEW and is mostly used in backstage segments.
