Jim Ross Applauds MJF’s AEW Locker Room Standards Comments: “A Lot Of Truth There”

Legendary wrestling announcer Jim Ross has given his endorsement to recent fiery comments made by AEW star MJF regarding the work ethic and standards required to be a part of the AEW locker room. Ross praised the young star for his blunt honesty and for having the “balls” to speak his mind.

In a recent interview, MJF stated that AEW is not a place for talent to “cash a check and expect to be world champion,” and that anyone thinking of coming to his company must be prepared to give 110 percent. On his Grilling JR podcast, Ross was asked for his reaction to the pointed promo.

A Vocal Leader

Ross, who has managed talent for decades, agreed with MJF’s assessment and praised him for taking on a leadership role.

“A lot of truth. There’s a lot of lot of truth there. He’s very blunt and cuts to the chase, very outspoken. But he’s very intelligent young man, so I applaud what he says. It has a it has the balls to say it, because in some circles, that’ll get your ass in trouble. But he’s a good representative of that, and I expect him to be a vocal leader in AEW, for years to come.”

MJF’s Place in AEW

The comments from MJF come as AEW prepares for its biggest domestic show in history, All In, at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. His words serve as a mission statement for the company as it continues to build its identity in the competitive wrestling landscape.

MJF is currently a member of the Hurt Syndicate alongside Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley. He is also scheduled to be the second entrant in the Casino Gauntlet match at All In, with the winner receiving a future shot at the AEW World Championship.
