Jim Ross: I Was Told Yesterday That I’m Doing The Arthur Ashe Event; Then I’m Going To Go To Seattle And Calling The Pay-per-view

The latest “Grilling JR” includes Jim Ross’ thoughts on the AEW All Out pay-per-view. Ross also revealed that he will be going on the road more often starting with Grand Slam and WrestleDream in Seattle.

Jim Ross’ thoughts on the Jon Moxley-Bryan Danielson plastic bag angle at AEW All Out:

“Well, I enjoyed the show overall. I’m not a big plastic bag aficionado. I understand why they did it. I get it, but it’s not my cup of tea. That will set up a Moxley-Bryan match sooner than later. Maybe it’s just the way it’s supposed to be. It seems a little bit uncomfortable because that’s a dangerous thing and you don’t want kids trying it, somebody getting an idea that, hey, I can do that. It just seems like this group of talent have the ability and the inclination to rise above on pay per views, big shows, big events.”

Ross on his upcoming announcing duties for AEW:

“I was told yesterday that I’m doing the Arthur Ashe event, which is always going to be fun. It’s a unique setting, unique surroundings, so I’m looking forward to that. It should be a good, loaded card, and a lot of talent on this card. My new work schedule is going to be challenging, but fun. I’ll be going to New York next week to do that show. I’m not sure how much of it I’m doing, but I think I’m doing more than normal. I’m looking forward to that. Then I’m going to go to Seattle and calling the pay-per-view. I think my schedule is getting more aggressive and I’m going to be used more, it seems like, and I’m ready for it. I’m excited about it. I love doing the live calls, and still it’s in my blood. I still enjoy it. I still get fired up for doing it. It means something to me at this stage of my game. You know, you never know when you’re gonna do your last one, so I’m pumped up about that.”
