Jim Ross Talks Jeff and Matt Hardy Potentially Joining AEW Down The Road

AEW commentator and co-host of the Grilling JR podcast Jim Ross recently commented on the free agency of former WWE Superstar Matt Hardy. Ross would openly say that he wants to see Hardy appear in AEW, and that if he did choose to join the AEW roster that ‘maybe’ Jeff Hardy could make the jump down the road.

Jim Ross on Matt and Jeff Hardy

“When Jeff Hardy is clean and sober and healthy, he can help any company in a big big way” Jim Ross began. “Then Matt [Hardy], of course, now a free agent. You know there’s a lot of talk about where he’s going. I know where I’d like to see him go, you know obviously I’m selfish.”

Intellect and Character

Jim Ross would then go on to state how valuable Matt Hardy could be to the AEW team. “Matt Hardy is another guy that, from his intellect to his character, his integrity, and existing in-ring skills can help any wrestling company. Including the one that I worked for at AEW. I wish him the best.”

Could Jeff Make The Jump Too?

JR would then also talk about how if AEW could convince Matt to make the jump then potentially Jeff could also head to AEW at some point. “You know if you get Matt? Then maybe someday you get Jeff? Who knows, but nonetheless The Hardy Boys, grew up in WWE. Now they are on different roads it’s gonna be interesting to see how to Matt and Jeff coexist in their lives on being on separate brands, separate teams actually.”

Matt Hardy’s free agent status is likely to not change officially for at least a week or two. Whilst some fans anticipated that he may be revealed as Dark Order’s ‘Exalted One’ that Dynamite show may in fact now be in jeopardy due to the coronavirus.
