Jim Ross Undergoes Surgery To Remove Colon Cancer

Legendary wrestling commentator Jim Ross underwent surgery this morning to remove colon cancer. Conrad Thompson shared the positive news on X.

Thompson tweeted: “Just heard from @rmorfnyc that JR’s surgery went well and they hope to have successfully removed all of his cancer this morning! Please keep @JRsBBQ in your thoughts and prayers as he begins his recovery!”

This update comes after Ross announced his colon cancer diagnosis on May 15, 2025. Leading up to the surgery, Ross had shared his determination to overcome this latest health challenge and his desire to return to his AEW commentary duties, including a goal to be at AEW All In: Texas in July.
