Jon Moxley files trademarks for tag team name

Jon Moxley is looking to secure the trademark rights to the name of a tag team that he was once part of. The terms are “The Switchblades” and “Switchblade Conspiracy.”

He recently filed for it with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) through trademark attorney Michael E. Dockins. It’s listed for clothing purposes. Here are the descriptions:

“G & S: Hats; Shirts; Socks; Bandanas; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts”, as well as “G & S: Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personalities; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personalities; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personalities; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring professional wrestlers and sports entertainers in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.”

The tag team is made up of Moxley and Impact Wrestling star Sami Callihan. They’ve gone by “The Switchblades” and “Switchblade Conspiracy” in the past. They worked together on a number of occasions early on in their careers. While as a tag team, they won the wXw World Tag Team Championships in 2009.

The last time that Moxley and Callihan teamed up was in 2011 at an independent show in Pennsylvania. That will change when they team up on October 30, 2021 at The Wrestling Revolver’s Tales From The Ring show.
